朗文 6 的 recommend 词条用法说明前后矛盾
如图所示，朗文 5 直接说不能用 recommend sb to do sth，而 朗文 6 的 recommend词条第一个释义中增加了 recommend sb to do sth 的搭配，但在语法说明的示例中却说不能用 recommend sb to do sth，不免让人困惑。而 Longman Dictionary of Common Errors 中又说 British English also uses recommend sb to do sth，真是矛盾啊。而查牛津高阶和其他用法词典（如柯林斯），都显示 recommend 可以用这种搭配。 本帖最后由 agno3 于 2015-10-15 12:20 编辑

葛传椝英语惯用法词典：
I recommend the reader to be on the lookout for idioms 等句子里偶尔在 recommend 后面加上 to，但很不普通，加上 it to 也可以，比只加上 to 普通。
Pocket Fowler's Modern English Usage, 2nd Edition：
In addition to its familiar constructions with a direct object + to- infinitive (I recommend you to control your temper ) and with a that- clause (We recommend that you stay at the local hotel ), recommend is one of a class of verbs, once dwindling but now showing signs of recovery, that allows the subjunctive to be used, the effect being one of formality rather than archaism:

Collins COBUILD 8, Oxford Collocations Dictionary, CALD, MWALD, KAED 无这样搭配。
查了 Vocabulary.com 200条例句，没见到这样用。
查了 COCA 85页句子中第一页的101条，也没见到这样搭配。
