Feminism源自拉丁語「**性」一字，指「在政治、經濟及社會上爭取性別平權的理論」，以及「爭取婦**權益的有組織活動」。它最早於1841年由《韋氏大辭典》創辦人韋伯斯特列入辭典中，當時意指「**性化」或「少**身體特徵」，與今天的政治含義大不相同。辭典特約編輯索科沃夫斯基解釋，評選時會以搜尋率等因素考慮，其中Feminism網上搜尋率比去年大升七成，年中多宗新聞大事發生時亦令搜尋率激增，包括去年底希拉莉對特朗普的美國總統選戰、1月華盛頓婦**大遊行、以至因荷**活電影大亨溫斯坦性醜聞蔓延至體育和政商界的反性侵浪潮，都令不少人反思這個字真義。入圍的另外9個候選年度單字包括Complicit（同謀）、Gaffe（失禮）、北韓領袖金正恩用來罵美國總統特朗普的Dotard（老糊塗）。 本帖最后由 ucccafe 于 2017-12-15 09:49 编辑
