韦小绿的一处问题

sanctimonious这个词的释义文字中，这句话感觉少了一个are吧？


Those who make a display of how good and pious they are ARE called hypocrites.
感觉应该这样才对吧。有纸质书的朋友请帮确认一下。

都不对，

介词of后面只能是一个由what, how等引导的从句，或者of后面是一个名词

比如Those who make a display of their goodness and piety are called hypocrites. 这样写是可以的。
但是你给出的那两个句子how后面是形容词，所以显示必须是how引导的从句，而你的从句中却没有谓语。
