"life as it is lived" means the way people go about their daily life
For example, "life as it is lived" today involves watching movies at home, and pooping at home
For example, "life as it is lived" in the Roman Empire involved pooping in public and watching plays at a forum， and instead of toilet paper they used sea shells to wipe their arse
"life as it was lived" = "how life was" / "what life was like"

我认为it 指代前面的Architecture, live 在这里是

我的理解就是生活的意思，前边的是过去完成时态，后边的是将来完成时态
建筑是生命，或者至少它是生命本身的形式，因此它是生命最真实的记录，就像它昨天在这个世界上生活过，就像它今天生活过，或者将会生活过一样。
