incessant和continuous 有区别吗？

这个问题提的很好。首先值得一提的是continual 和 continuous的区别
continual: 中间时有停顿的连续，如电话铃响
continuous:无间断的连续，如警报声一直不绝于耳，
但现在这个微妙的区别已经不是尽人皆知，日常写作中也不会人人都予以遵守了。导致continual和continuous这两个词被不加区分的混为一谈。
然而 那些要求严格的作家 为了避开这一问题，增加明晰度，通常会用intermittent来替换continual
而用incessant, uninterrupted 替代continuous
所以incessant 和 continuous 这两个词在语义上都是“”无间隙的延续” ，但在使用中还是有一个很重要的区别。
incessant 只用于不好的事情，而continuous 可用的语境则没有这个限制，如
The incessant/continuous noise of building made my nerves frayed.
但如是另外一种语境，We were amazed by the continuous roar of Niagara Falls. 这里就不适合使用incessant. 你看过英文解释没有哈，单单解释就有不同。前一个词带情绪的，当然也可以找本辨析词典看啊。 强调点不一样. 一个强调不休止. 一个强调时间的连续。
