Imagine 和picture 在概念上有什么区别
做动词表想象时， 有人从概念上详细区别下他们么？谢谢外网查的解释. 我处于一种似懂非懂的状态.

您的例句中，第一个单词可翻译成“想象一下”，第二个picture可翻译成“对着他的脸拍个照”。
作者估计是不想用重复的词，故意这样写的。

picture 做动词，意义与imagine 大致相同，用法有异。

picture 正确用法 （dicts, dicts, dicts):

picture someone as something
etc.
etc.

--此处， imagine 也可用 picture。 也许作者为避免重复，换用 imagine.

image 是指与概念相对的形象化，译为设想一下。
picture 就是是中文里的绘画，这里引申为刻画，译为眼前呈现。
不知道说清了没有，希望有帮助。

形象化或者具象化 似乎与 ‘眼前呈现’ 并没有什么区别. 我又回到原点. {:4_105:}讨论啊 同意2楼后半部分的说法，英语与汉语行文方式不同，英语文章尽力避免重复，一个相同的意思，在文中会有不同的表达，这些表达大多都是近义词或者短语。所以没必要纠结这句话中这两个词的区别，他们就是作者为了避免重复而特意调整的。不然你想想，如果两个词都用imagine看起来多尴尬。 Licky 发表于 2019-4-23 11:08
