我能这样理解吗？这里就是方式状语前置到前面了，省略了in，就和楼主第二句的情况一样。不是什么定语从句。
第一句省略了in which，第二句是省略了in，就是in the wrong way
另外，除了灰色书包同学说的，补充一下，其实the way in which/that/zero ...这种结构就是因为定语从句里没有how这种关系副词，表示方式，修饰谓语只能用the way in which...

你英文这样写也行，但是这样写明显句子节奏语感就不如原句感觉好了；而且你这样写，句子的基本结构和原句就完全不同了，你这变成了一个很啰嗦很长的宾语从句（recognize的宾语，recognize that。。。）

这样把句子成分换下位置确实清晰很多，也符合真题解析里的中文翻译。但是，我有一个疑问，这样改的话，“these trends...”就不是修饰ways的定语从句了。难道真题解析的讲法有误？
还有，如果真如你所分析的那样，那”（in-省略）the less obvious but profound ways“这个状语能随便移到句首（也就是these trends前面）吗？
我把前面不重要的内容去掉，只留recognize后面的宾语从句：
The less obvious but profound ways these trends are influencing consumers' aspirations, attitudes, and behaviors.
不觉得有点怪怪的吗？

状语成分本来就是一个很灵活的可以移动的成分。有时为了强调，有时为了句子结构平衡可以移到前面。这句句子如果按定语从句分析才觉得怪呢！是，这个结构的确看上去很像灰色书包给出的第二种the way的用法，但那个the way在句子中是做宾语的，而这句句子中是作状语的。根本不是一回事。至于为什么和你参考书上的不一致，那只有去问写这书的人了。估计那个人一眼看过去觉得这个结构和语法书上罗列出的第二种结构比较相似，自己都没搞清楚就套用此语法公式了。而后来者，就是那些语法分析得头头是道者，也是人与亦云了！

我理解后面的句子可以拆成
these trends are influencing consumers' aspirations, attitudes, and behaviors in these ways.
In these ways these trends are influencing consumers' aspirations, attitudes.
in which/that these trends are influencing consumers' aspirations, attitudes.
最后省略in which/that

楼主是这么说的：discover后面宾语从句的结构有点懵。我看解析说，ways后面的所有内容是修饰ways的定语从句。那ways在其定语从句中作什么成分？省略的关系词又是什么？

说了，你这样分析宾语就变成the...ways了。而现在的宾语是these trends.如果你仔细看过前面我们的讨论，应该知道这样理解翻译出来的话听变扭的，而且我们还就这里的ways表示什么意思讨论过。
