纽约公共图书馆提供的排行榜上，Magaret Wise Brown所著的《月亮，晚安》仅仅获得提名奖，其中就有这种文学口味不一的原因。几乎可以肯定地说，如果不是该图书馆儿童书部图书管理员Anne Carroll Moore不喜欢这本书，这部深受儿童喜爱的书本可以取代另一个排名更高的书籍而荣膺榜单的。就因为该图书管理员讨厌《月亮，晚安》，直到出版25年后的1972年，这本书才得以在纽约公共图书馆上架。

那个榜单，并不是根据某（些）人的趣味制定的，而是根据借阅量形成的。
