一本正经的胡说八道。

把Longman, Cambridge等ESL字典与Merriam Webster等母语人使用的字典作比较，已经显得不专业了。

也就忽悠些不懂行的初学者。

赞同，Longman 确实很详尽，例句也丰富，上学时就用到现在的词典。
其它的，就个人经验来言，Collins， Webster都不错， 牛津双解也用得很多。
刚下了Lexico，确实值得推荐，简洁精炼。

当然一步到位直接 牛津简明英语词典 最好

前提是中学英语已经掌握
