- for if u "scan" a dict, u either look at it carefully (as how most british ppl would understand it) or look go thru it cursorily (like how most yankee boys take it), but in either way, u read it almost from cover to cover in a wee greater detail than "skimming" and "browsing" the work.

是的，原来那个版本的med也不错，跳转什么的都很顺，可是就是没有保住med的最大特色。好像med能获奖多部分原因就是首创了这个signpost words栏目，后来朗文也部分采用了。多亏cjz抓取网页，这部分内容才成功保留下来。

So they have been wrong all along and no one even cares?  That's worrying, considering they have so many great reference works at their fingertips.

3 c( _: H; Y+ E; D* w, M0 Q* [) JAnyway, the word "scan" really has no business in the description of how such pop-up dicts work - u get the quick definition bubble/window by "selecting"/"highlighting" the word u want!

6 U: ]/ A% D! g4 ~Dreye5in1汉英部分和21世纪电脑英汉双向是一样的，但是反过来查英汉的时候，结果却不一样。
例如，按CE查“候鸟”，Dreye和21世纪电脑结果是一样的，都有migratory bird这个解释；反过来查migratory bird，Dreye有解释，而21世纪电脑没有解释。
是否因为21世纪的排版是这样的原因：migratory: a ~ bird 候鸟？ 有没有办法用headword替换这个~？

外研社二合一词典里面也有这种现象：查“装配”，下面有“~车间 assembly shop”，但是再查“装配车间”，二合一里面查不出来。或许是因为“装配车间”在里面不算词条的缘故吧？我不是很懂。
