$ N7 b/ e0 [. w# g9 n这个帖子（- 你还有哪些纸质词典？ https://www.pdawiki.com/forum/thread-15344-1-1.html）列了几本，其实我还偷偷“藏”了几本，比如 1994 年印的原版 OALD ，单看 dictionary 条的第一个释义：5 G/ B, C3 g+ S$ f

OALD4: book that lists and explains the words of a language, or gives translations of them into one or more other languages, and is usu arranged in alphabetical order 0 z3 J5 D' E3 Z. P4 ^
OALD7/8/9: a book that gives a list of the words of a language in alphabetical order and explains what they mean, or gives a word for them in a foreign language
7 U7 Q+ h7 h0 d @) U0 W/ c看出区别了吧， OALD4 说的 dictionary is usually arraged in alphabetical order ，OALD7/8/9 都没有说 usually 。词典，可不都是按字母顺序排列的噢，这条释义，OALD4 更精确。2 x" F- e& ~6 p) h# f6 A
3 F# h; T5 M L+ P! `老词典更实诚，看封底，说的是 57100 words and phrases, over 4000 NEW to this edition，再看看第 8 版，“184500 单词、短语和释义”，也不能说人家吹牛，词头也就五六万，释义数可能有十几万。。。。。9 a' j% a1 G& _
