友以成德也，人而无友，则孤陋寡闻，德不能成矣；学以愈愚也，人而不学，则昏昧无知，愚不能愈矣。Having friends can help you to cultivate virtue. Without friends, you would remain ill-informed and thus unable to live a virtuous life.
Study can help you to cure you natural foolishness. Without study, you would remain ignorant and your foolishness would be left intact.

友以成德也，人而无友，则孤陋寡闻，德不能成矣；学以愈愚也，人而不学，则昏昧无知，愚不能愈矣。
Having friends can help you become a better man. Something would be missing in your virtue if you didn't have friends and thus remain ill-informed.
Study is the way to cure you of your natural foolishness. If you do not devote yourself to study, you will remain foolish with all your foolishness left intact.

Friends can enrich your life and make you a better man. Without them, your chances for living a virtuous life would be diminished.
Study can cure you of your foolishness. without study, you would remain just as ingorant andas foolish as you were before.
朋友可以丰富你的生活，使你成为一个更好的人。没有他们，你过上高尚生活的机会就会减少。
学习能治好你的愚蠢。没有学习，你会像以前一样无能和愚蠢 友以成德也，人而无友，则孤陋寡闻，德不能成矣；学以愈愚也，人而不学，则昏昧无知，愚不能愈矣。
Friends help you to become a more virtuous man. Without them, you would remain ill-informed and you virtue incomplete.
Study cures you of your inherent foolishness. Without it, you would remain a ignorant person and your foolishness intact.
