as 从句中使用完成时 怎么理解

但为什么不用一般现在时呢，as从句中用一般现在时是可以表示延续的啊。

'As' here means 'in the way in which' instead of 'while something else is happening'.
You could add 'just' to the start of the sentence of interest if you're still confused.
Having had a second look, I think 'as' here simply means 'although'.
Nvm, think I was right after all.

spread 和 plunge 这两者之间也没有什么可比性啊，不像是方式状语从句啊 两个都能用的话，为什么不能用作者想用的那个 大大神，会不会是原因状语从句呢？关系陷入深渊是因为已经扩散了的疫情。 疫情已经蔓延，与之同时，中美关系也已经滑入低谷。 我觉得还是“因为”的意思，具体还得看后一句写什么
