欲知天下事，须读古今书。学了就用处处行，光学不用等于零。不能则学，不知则问；
读书全在自用心，老师不过引路人。
To know things under the sun,
one has to read books ancient and modern.
What you have learned will only work
if you put them into practice.
If you don't , it will amount to nothing.
If you don't know how to do something, learn.
If there is anything you don't understand, ask.
What you learn from reading depends on
how hard you apply yourself to the task,
your teacher merely points out the way for you.
