这个电子版的Oxford Talking Dictionary，综合了好几部权威的Oxford词典，比如The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, The Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus British English Edition, The Concise Oxford Dictionary等等。这个电子词典也含有不少的百科性质的内容。比如在"大象"的词条下，就附着一个图片。

Ninth Edition (1995) was edited by Della Thompson.
% a1 h  N3 N  ^$ S8 x* ~: Y0 l9 I8 CTenth Edition (1999, revised 2001) became The Concise Oxford English Dictionary. It was edited by Judy Pearsall. Rather than being a direct revision of the ninth edition, it was based on the larger New Oxford Dictionary of English (1998), which Pearsall had edited. Its compilation had involved a re-analysis of much of the core vocabulary using the British National Corpus. The tenth edition was also issued as an electronic resource, as a computer optical disc.

惭愧，几乎没使用过其Quick Reference，因此没有注意到其COD内容，当然也没有注意阅读词典本身的介绍。不好意思滴狠！

该光盘我已经使用十几年了，就是The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary加Oxford Thesaurus再加两万来个百科条目构成，里边不含Concise Oxford Dictionary的内容。它最出彩的地方就是将近十万单词的男女真人纯正英音发音，尤其是百科条目的读音，对把握英语人名地名的读音很有帮助！因为自己不会整，早就希望哪个大侠将其发音库提取出来，制成MDict格式惠及众生！
