It is much too important to be reduced to a bunch of trivial don't-do-this prescriptions by a pair of idiosyncratic bumblers who can't even tell when they've broken their own misbegotten rules.

& V9 O& P4 B+ t2 k6 Z0 hthis piece by pullum is outrageously provocative. strunk and white's little book is a bit rigid and mouldy though, it does its job being straightforward and assertive. my motto is, is that always keep everything in moderation. particularly when it comes to writing and grammar, there're no hard-and-fast rules that cannot be broken.
