比较Merriam-Webster's的两本同义词反义词书，不知道为什么不一样？

两本书都是韦氏黄色封皮，内容却不一样，它们的截图如下：

区别就在于，一个是dictionary, 按照字母表顺序编排；另外一个是thesaurus, 按词义或概念编排(感觉相当于词汇汇编，通常不是不按字母表顺序)，结果词表多、参见繁、索引长、部头大。

所以，个人认为，thesaurus就是同义词（有时包含反义词等）汇编；如果原文用dictionary，中文用词典，其实和原来含义都有出入，只不过现在许多人都这么说，也就习惯了。

当然，楼主说的本来就是两本不同的书，词条不一样也就应该很自然了。
