要知道，许多查英汉词典的人，不太再去查EE词典，或许会有人认为，这个形容词没有“可能的”这个含义。

4 v7 P: H1 z' K" Z# x- L陆老仙的英汉大词典以显著位置给出了“可能的”这个含义。SOED和W3都给出了这个含义。
