请问这里可以使用过去完成时么？I had played ... until ... forced me ...

用过去完成时应该也是可以的，不过过去式的这种用法就挺好了。

until引导一个时间状语从句，主句和从句谓语时态一致；had done单独使用可以，不可跟until从句连用，前后矛盾或有转折语义。had done表示过去已经踢过三年（那以后还在踢）
后面有until从句语义终止，不能使用。

For 3 years看似是一段时间，但是后面有until这个词儿管辖着，就是一个点了。
