, i: m( O# s q- |7 F有坛友在发帖询问see to it的意思，并说，分开看每个字都认识，但合起来就不知所云。这里我想和大家分享一点个人经验，仅供参考。

学习方法因人而异。有人很擅长记忆信息碎片，而我更擅长逻辑思维。我认为，如果能在信息碎片之间挖掘出某些内在联系，不但能减轻记忆负担，更重要的是，能让人举一反三、事半功倍。: y5 l: ] l5 ^/ G" @, V( s

对于习语来说，往往都是从某个意思很具体的说法引申而来。这个在中文里也是一样，比如“卡脖子”和“挖墙脚”应该分别是从斗殴和破坏建筑的行为抽象而来。0 [! }4 }+ W. m, O3 e
- P& ]5 {' ^" S. W6 s( c要理解see to it，不妨先从具体的说法see sb to sth开始。它意思是“将某人护送到某个地方”，非常容易理解。, @7 L$ V# }9 f1 o5 l
L+ I/ p, L/ P2 [) \( fsee sb to sth: To escort or accompany somebody to a place or means of departure.% W; l5 U3 S/ v0 b3 w+ G1 x
% y' r- E O( c3 s6 s4 _

: ~& M+ O' l/ l/ I* {( o在这基础上的一种简化变异，就是干脆把see的宾语与to的宾语二选一，并将see to作为一个短语动词看待，后面接一个宾语完事，同时意义发生了第一步抽象，成为“照顾、伺候、处理”。这种抽象应该是很自然而然的。2 E1 l( x* I& t) ]* o: O
% P6 Z1 I: h) O2 nsee to sb/sth: To care for, attend to, or deal with somebody or something.

再看有上下文情境的情况：

. _3 C- Q# u) ]3 r5 Y, S$ p这就是第二次抽象：将see to的宾语置换成一个泛指代词it，意思自然成为了“确保此事”。1 Q( k2 q( w7 m8 S

see to it: make certain.1 a/ ~8 \8 `- d; N
* d( v& C6 I3 o: e% s5 K# d
如果没有上下文，则要么将it还原成organizing the store room before our next shipment arrives；要么在it之后加一个that引导的同位语从句，明确说明。
