Hi ChenbinVip, : q4 k' L! C6 {5 D: {& |% e! m- S9 P1 M: _

I looked the phrase up in Freedictionary.com and came out empty-handed, too. 9 i" p' a! s% [" O
0 K; T1 R6 J, M. P$ aBut the idea in these two statements is very clear in and of itself, isn't it? Here a few other words or phrases can take the place of "pick up" without chaning its meaning, like "see, witness" or "gain" or even "harvest", but maybe "pick up" is a bit more vivid because it conjours up the image of a snowplough at work. Don't you think so? 7 o. ]9 Q% J2 t) L+ x

Hope this helps.
