Collins Cobuild 中文翻译错误一例

I was searching for more examples of the phrase "take sth out of the equation" and I came across this example sentence in Collins Cobuild. The English example has nothing wrong, but it's the Chinese translation that comes with it - it has totally misinterpreted the original statement.

chance是按不可数用的，所以不是risk之意，是指luck。翻译错误估计是国内的引进的出版社内部的编校审的问题。

楼主图中的柯林斯COBUILD高阶英汉双解学习词典mdx是第几版？目前没有柯林斯COBUILD高阶英汉双解学习词典第8版mdx的公开分享，不知道第8版翻译对没有呢？

奇怪，我输入了 :about, 其他词典都能看到版本号，就这个 Collins Cobuild 看不到。

结合楼主朋友Mike的解释，原句中chance应为posibility，整句可译为：

不是“无论新计划怎么实施”，而是“这些新计划（方案）”，已经（理论上）剔除了（take sth. out of sth.）偶然因素（chance），进而实现了这个平衡（equation）的稳固。
