这个例句的用法我看着像及物动词啊，怎么会划分到 [no object] 里去了呢？

* n) L2 T. t0 h; Z4 {$ ]/ F3 rsuffer作及物动词时，后面的宾语通常都是具体有所指的，比如suffer pain，suffer torture之类。单纯的a great deal若作名词，所指不明，没法作宾语，所以此处它只能是程度副词，作状语，修饰suffer。suffer不及物，指受到损失，受到损害的意思。

  F' Q" ~  L- e0 N, Z0 ]换言之，如果把a great deal所指的事物补充完整，那这里的suffer就变成了及物动词，相应地，a great deal就变成宾语了。比如：
