请问这里的him对不对？

《最新高级英汉词典（修订版）》718页list³词条下的两个例句：

1、He did as him list.他高兴怎么做就怎么做。

2、I shall do what him listeth.我将遂其所愿去做。

上面的两处him，难道不应该是he吗？尤其第二句，list都用了第三人称单数了，him居然用的还是宾格，而不是主格，实在费解。

翻了一下此词典2014年第三版的相同词条处，一模一样，未有任何更改。

求教于高明。

此词条抄袭自 The concise Oxford dictionary of current English

list2, v.t. (archaic; 3 sing. pres. list or listeth, past list or listed). Be pleasing to (shall do what him listeth; did as him list); desire, choose, (to do or abs.; ye who l. to hear; wind bloweth where it listeth). [OE lystan, cf. Du. lusten, G lusten, cogn. w. lust]

'shall do what him listeth' 出自圣经：'And the King shall doe what him list: he shall exalt himselfe, and magnifie himselfe against all, that is God, & shall speake marueilous things against ye God of gods, & shall prosper, till ye wrath be accomplished: for ye determination is made.'

普通当代人没必要学圣经英语语法。最新高级英汉词典编辑这操作，属于是画蛇添足，欲盖弥彰了。

所列古文圣经，我找到了圣经新国际版相对应的文字，是这样的：

The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.
（王必任意而行，自高自大，超过所有的神，又用奇异的话攻击万神之神。他必行事亨通，直到主的忿怒完毕，因为所定的事必然成就）

编辑采用那种令人困惑的古英语作为现代英汉词典的例句，的确有点不负责任。修订者一仍其旧，不作更换，这修订的水平也是相当令人怀疑。

list在这里是impersonal verb（非人称动词），意为be pleasing to，主语其实是形式主语it，所以这里要用宾格（即hina）或者与格（即him），相当于He did as it list him。

现代英语中最常见的例子是methinks（=it seems to me）。

百度了一下，“无人称动词”似乎是法语的语法概念。请问有没有哪本英语语法书涉及到这个知识点？

比较简单的论述见Manfred Görlach的Introduction to Early Modern English第6.3.4节'Impersonal' verbs，更详细的说法得去查Otto Jespersen的A Modern Grammar on Historical Principles第Ⅲ卷11.2-11.3节。其中前一本就提到了list作为例子。

一般关于early modern English的专著都会提到，但我现在手头只有这两本。

啊，对了，Roger Lass的TheCambridge History of the English Language第Ⅲ卷（1476-1776）第4.4.1.1节Impersonal verbs也有。

谢谢！你这也研究得太深入了，我想还是算了。作为一个业余英语爱好者，连现代英语都没整明白，古英语或者所谓的early modern English哪里敢碰~

list 的单数地三人称还是list （无s）
