years of life lost个人觉得就是指从治疗开始到战胜疫情这一段时间段里离世的以及活下来但是可能由于治疗导致预期寿命缩短了的情况。失去的生命年吧，大概指。

就在直接危害和间接危害之间寻找平衡。关键在理解public health more broadly. 一开始我理解为传染， 后来理解为医疗资源被占用后引发的更大范围公共健康（其它病人得不到救治的更大范围），现在还是可以理解为传染。只不过这个传染不是covid-19本身直接造成的，而是由于covid-19占用了TB, AIDS等传染病的资源，使得这些病人得不到救治而间接引发的传染，即大范围公共健康。所以就像Eating Flower说的，是在 covid-19本身造成的危害和covid-19对经济和其它传染病造成的间接危害之间寻找平衡点。
